PRINT HISTORY LECTURE

FREE! Friday, November 8, 5:30-7pm at the LGBT Center

Want to learn about the LGBTQ+ printmakers that gathered in Cape Cod in the early 20th century? Join us at the LGBT Center for a FREE Print History Lecture on Friday, November 8, 5:30-7 - Presented by Brittany M. Hudak, Art Historian, and Senior Programming Manager at Zygote Press.

Provincetown was a destination for avant-garde artists fleeing the turmoil of World War I and had been a safe haven for LGBTQ+ artists since the mid-nineteenth-century. Printmaking as an art form is inherently collaborative, and was used as a conduit for exchange between queer women artists, in Provincetown and beyond.
