Antwoine Washington Artist Talk
Friday, December 20, 6-8pm FREE
Join us for a free Artist Talk with Antwoine Washington on Friday, December 20 from 6-8pm. Antwoine will be joined in conversation with Professor Erin Benay, Zygote board member and co-curator of Karamu Artists Inc.: Printmaking, Race, and Community which opens at the Cleveland Museum of Art in March 2025.
Washington will be discussing the limited-edition print he created as part of a collaboration between Case Western Reserve University, the Cleveland Public Library, and Zygote Press. This initiative explores the artistic legacy of the Karamu Artists Inc., a group of Black printmakers who began their careers at Karamu House—one of the nation’s oldest Black performing arts centers. Inspired by the work of these historic artists, Washington created a special edition print at Zygote’s shop titled Foundations of Wonder that will be available for purchase.
Please visit our gallery starting Friday, December 13, during open gallery hours to see this new limited edition print!
