Fall 2025 Workshops
In this one day workshop, students will learn the basics of risograph printing as well as two simple book binding techniques: pamphlet stitching and japanese stab binding. They will leave the class with two blank handmade journals and plenty of extra riso-printed covers to make more journals at home. All supplies included— students will receive beginner book binding kits that they can keep!

Have you always wanted to try letterpress? This one-day class is the perfect course for you! Using our Vandercook Letterpresses, participants will learn how to hand-set large wood type and make a set of posters to take home. It's the perfect introduction to Zygote's Letterpress Shop. Looking for new ways to boost your creative spark? Join us for this fun and artistically stimulating community event. Participants will sit down together on the first day and work together to create a thought provoking list of items. After that, they will set out on a three week adventure to capture their interpretation of each item. At the completion of the three weeks, the collected images of each participant will be digitally printed and displayed on our gallery walls to be critiqued as a group with guest artists.
