Workshop Description: Did you know that CMYK can be used to make aquatint photo etchings? Join Zygote Teaching Artist Meryl Engler and learn the amazing process of printing four sequential etching plates to create a full color image. Participants will learn how to color separate, prepare, expose and print their images using intaglio techniques with multiple plates. Toyobo Printight KM43 plates are photosensitized polymer, steel-backed printing plates that are non-toxic and offer the opportunity to work with photogravure in a much faster and less toxic manner than traditional copperplate Photogravure. All plates, transparencies and other materials are provided by Zygote and included in the cost of the workshop.
