Zygote Press is proud to present its 2026 Intern Exhibition, celebrating the creativity, curiosity, and experimentation of the artists who help sustain the organization. Our interns are the backbone of Zygote Press, each bringing distinct artistic practices, lived experiences, and fresh perspectives that enrich our community.

This exhibition explores the beauty of the overlooked and the everyday, drawing attention to mundane objects, unexpected encounters, unconscious creativity, unfiltered drafts, and imagined or shared worlds. Together, these works reveal how ordinary moments and processes can become sites of discovery, reflection, and transformation.

This show is organized by emerging curator Ciara Walker, who currently serves as Zygote Press's Gallery Intern, the exhibition highlights the diverse voices and practices of this year's intern cohort.
