Open Studio is an open access, weekly offering for member artists to work on their own projects in Zygote’s print shop. Open Studio hours are on Wednesdays (1pm-9pm) and Saturdays (12pm-4pm). Open Studios close for national holidays.
Price: $20
Supply fee: $10 (if you intend to use shop inks and emulsion)
Open Studio fees are due upon arrival, and open studio is available only to current members. If you are not currently a member but would like to sign up for open studio, you can join online in advance or in-person at Zygote.
During Open Studios, there are printmaking monitors on site to oversee the shop and answer questions. Please note that the Open Studio is not a class, it is a session designed for artists working independently on small projects.
If you need more time than is provided in Open Studio, please consider becoming an artist renter, which provides 24-hour access to the shop.
